# SnapShip FAQ

SnapShip is an AI-powered profit scanner for resellers. It scans items using your phone camera and returns real eBay sold price data, net profit calculations, and a BUY IT or LEAVE IT verdict in under 15 seconds.

## Are the eBay fees and shipping estimates accurate?

SnapShip uses eBay's standard final value fee structure (typically 12.9–15% depending on category) plus a calculated shipping estimate based on the item's likely weight and dimensions. These are realistic estimates — actual fees can vary slightly based on your eBay seller account tier and buyer location.

## What kinds of items can I get valuations on?

SnapShip works on virtually anything that sells on eBay — electronics, clothing, shoes, collectibles, toys, sports cards, video games, tools, kitchenware, art, jewelry, ceramics, and vintage items. It works best on branded items where the AI can read a logo, model number, or label in the photo.

## Are the results accurate?

SnapShip pulls real eBay sold listing data — what actual buyers paid in recent weeks. Accuracy is highest on clearly branded, well-lit items. For best results: good lighting, visible branding, and use the two-photo feature for items with labels or model numbers.

## Is this pulling actual eBay sold comp data?

Yes. SnapShip connects to real eBay sold listing data — items that have already sold and completed. This is the same data experienced resellers manually look up by filtering eBay to "Sold Items." SnapShip automates that lookup and does the profit math instantly.

## Why can't I just use Google Lens to do the same thing?

Google Lens identifies what something is. SnapShip tells you what it sold for, what your net profit would be after fees and shipping, and whether you should buy it at the price in front of you. It adds the entire financial decision layer on top of identification.

## How is SnapShip different from or better than Google Lens?

Google Lens is an identification tool. SnapShip is a profit decision tool. It adds real eBay sold prices, net profit after fees and shipping, ROI percentage, demand score, days to sell, and a clear BUY IT or LEAVE IT verdict — all from one photo in under 15 seconds.

## Can I save my flips and export a spreadsheet?

Yes. Every scan is saved to your history. You can mark items as sold, log your cost and sale price, and track profit in the Stats dashboard. You can export all sold items as a CSV file for taxes or bookkeeping — compatible with Excel and Google Sheets.

## Do I need an eBay account to use SnapShip?

No. SnapShip pulls eBay data on your behalf with no login required. The optional one-tap eBay listing feature requires connecting your eBay seller account, but it is not needed to scan items or see valuations.

## What are the best practices to get the best results?

Take photos in good natural light with the brand name or model number visible and in focus. Use the two-photo feature when there's a label on the back or bottom. Enter your actual cost before scanning so profit calculations are personalized. If you get an UNCLEAR result, try a tighter crop or a different angle showing more branding detail.

## Can you really make money using SnapShip?

SnapShip removes the guesswork that causes resellers to overpay. The most common mistake in reselling is paying too much because you didn't know the real market value. SnapShip shows you the real number in seconds so you only buy items where the margin is there. One good flip at a thrift store or estate sale can easily cover a full year of SnapShip.
